Burrito Masala
Project Brief
Burrito Masala is a new food cart business owned by a chef and his wife. The cart specializes in southern Indian and Mexican foods and will be located in Downtown Portland, Oregon. The owners needed a logo and a one-page responsive website. (This is a fictitious business that was created for academic purposes).
The Logo Design
I used a few symbols from the web that are traditionally found in Mexican cuisine logos. I incorporated a palette of vibrant colors inspired by the company's cuisine. The business is very simple and decided that instead of relying on a specific symbol or illustration that a less is more approach was a better fit. I created a minimal logo by pairing a unique and impactful typography with a bold color.

The Website
It was important that the food menu was displayed in a way that users could easily understand how the ordering process worked. I simplified the menu by breaking down each step of the menu using bold headings and plenty of white space. The owners wanted to prominently display how customers could order food. I used bright colors and clear headings to draw attention to important information. I hand coded this website using HTML5 and CSS3.
