Rip City Remedies
Project Brief
Rip City Remedies is a popular marijuana dispensary located in SE Portland, Oregon. They offer a variety of marijuana products to medical and recreational consumers. The owner needed a multi-page website including an integrated Leafly menu and an SEO plan.
SEO Plan
The owner was unhappy with their previous website's search ranking and wanted to improve it, create more visibility, and attract more customers. I created an in-depth SEO proposal tailored to the business's objectives including target markets, competition, and a SWOT analysis. Part of my process is using that collective knowledge to create a keyword analysis and critical tag attribute worksheet.
The Website
The website was originally created as a static site and I later re-designed it to make it responsive. The site needed to show each of the different products they sold. I created a products page that outlined each of the product categories and an integrated Leafly menu to show their current inventory of products. The owner wanted the design to be minimal while also showcasing their fun and welcoming atmosphere. I wanted the company's brand to be prominent so I chose a bright color palette that matched their logo, a unique and fun typography, and made everything brighter with plenty of white space. I hand coded this website using HTML5, CSS3, and a little bit of Javascript.
