Portland Historical Tours
Project Brief
The Portland Historical Walking Tours company is a family owned business that offers tours for visitors and residents in Portland, Oregon. They needed a multi-page responsive website and marketing material. (This is a fictitious business that was created for academic purposes).
Marketing Material
The goal was to appeal to the company's broad audience range so I kept the design simple yet fun. It was important that the design effectively communicated the differences between each of the tours so I used clean lines, bold headings, and bullet points. The flyer needed to be friendly and inviting so I chose to use a calming blue and a warm orange.
The Website
The website's design needed to be simple so that even the oldest users could navigate the sight with ease. I kept the layout simple with plenty of white space and bold headings. The site needed a contact form and a tour booking form that allowed the owners to easily access and view their client's information in a variety of ways. I created simple forms that were easy to use on any device and that sent the client's information to a database for easy access. I coded this website using Bootstrap framework, HTML5, CSS3, LESS, PHP, and Javascript.
